NSW: Ban on classic song may be reviewed

Ansett management are meeting behind closed doors to review SOCOG's banning of the
song: I Still Call Australia Home from Olympic torch relay celebrations.

Singer DALLAS WATTS and a four-piece jazz band were told by torch relay organisers
not to sing the PETER ALLEN classic because of its strong Qantas connection, which might
offend Games sponsor Ansett.

The performers planned a rendition when the torch passed through the town of Parkes,
in central west New South Wales on August 18.

Torch relay general manager DI HENRY has told ABC radio she'll take part in discussions
with Ansett officials about the song.
